THE LORD OF THE RINGS
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Twenty-five years after the Czech premiere of the first installment of Peter Jackson's iconic trilogy The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, based on the novel by J. R. R. Tolkien, and ten years after the sold-out live orchestra performance at Prague's O2 Arena, the legend of the Ring returns to life in the beautiful and modern T ARENA in Brno.
The combination of the spectacular film screening and the live performance of Howard Shore's Academy Award-winning score by a 230-piece orchestra, choirs, and international soloists promises a truly extraordinary experience. The film will be screened in its original language with Czech subtitles.
"The vast scope of the music calls for a symphony orchestra, mixed choir, children's choir, as well as instrumental and vocal soloists singing not only in Tolkien's literary languages but, of course, in English as well," explains the composer. His exceptional artistry is fully realized throughout The Lord of the Rings trilogy, creating a powerful musical layer that perfectly complements the story. Musical styles and instruments from around the world help define and enrich the many cultures and landscapes of Tolkien's epic saga.
Tickets will be available soon. The remaining two installments of the trilogy will follow in autumn 2027 and spring 2028.
